LinkedIn has brought teamwork to it’s product – hooray!
The Corporate Solutions team did quite a bit of studing recruiting teams – which would make any normal person go nutty. Yet it has paid of with a new, team version of “Recruiter” which offers:
- Individual users the ability to organize research into folders and even a clipboard (Stop printing or manually entering stuff into Excel).
- Saved searches can be stored and run nightly with new results being brought to your attention. This includes searches you ran but, as yet, not been saved (Effeciency of time).
- InMail templates for correspondence (Stop the cut ‘n paste).
- Shared folders for team reference (What if you’re sending the same InMail that your colleague just sent yesterday?).
- Shared resources such as InMails and job postings AND a dashboard for visual awareness (Easy up on the reading and start looking at information).
There are a few things they are working on to make things easier (refresh of searches, can’t export , etc.), but this is a great, huge first step forward in sourcing teamwork by the folks at LinkedIn. The price increase is reasonable too if your talent acquisition team is committed to sourcing (if you’re going to use it as an individual, ROI isn’t there).
So the next time you see George Seiter, Brooke Watts or anyone from LinkedIn… give them a hug… no? Well okay, a drink then… no? >Sigh< Fine, give them a high-five! They’ve earned it. 8~)
Thanks for the shout-out William however we all know the bulk of the work comes from product and engineering. I just teach you what they’ve built. I have to admit, it is pretty fabulous. Can’t wait to see what tweaks and upgrades are still to come!
