Map Pam, then hire her

Maps are quite helpful – even in phone research.A company’s main number may only help you so far. Large corporations have multiple sites but don’t list those numbers. Google Maps is a great way to target and/or reconstruct a particular location.

For example: Doubleclick, was recently acquired by Google. One of it’s product was Abacus. I say “was” because it’s no longer being sold (due to the acquisition) – however the talent that built and sold that product could be of interest to you. No listed numbers for those offices in Colorado or Illinois.Let’s focus on the former for this example:

  1. In a Google search field type: “maps: Denver, CO”
  2. This will give you a general location with a marker and a bubble. In that information bubble click the option of “search nearby area”
  3. A new search field opens up. Type in “Doubleclick
  4. Up comes two locations showing suburbs of Denver (Thorton and Broomfield), both with numbers (start with Thorton as Broomfield has a toll-free number listed so it’s not as desirable)
  5. Now you’re smiling as your dialing

ZabaSearch is a great way to look for residential numbersYou can run this search from the Google website. Or, better yet, integrate the Google search bar with your browser.

Happy hunting! 8~)
